There came a time in the year 2017 when there was world-wide crises for the raw material used to manufacture collagen peptide. The prices sky- rocketed and some grades of collagen even disappeared! Nizona Corporation has its sales, marketing and IT office in Mumbai, India. The team understood the seriousness of the on-coming crises very early. The India team went into backward integration mode and started exploring the possibilities of sourcing the raw materials, mainly freshwater carp fish scales. On extensive exploration in the quest of finding the carp fish scales the team landed upon one very low key but powerful fish processing business house in Kolkata. Nizona Marine Products Private Limited (NMP) was thus formed in association with this fish processing business house in Kolkata in the year 2019.
This is when it struck the team NMP that they were actually sitting on a goldmine!
India has 8,100 km long coastline, 8523 km in riverine length, 2.36 million hectares of ponds and tanks and 1.24 million hectares of brackish water resources. In addition India is also blessed with abundant sunlight, advanced fisheries sector, low fat tropical fish, good scientists and good government support in the fisheries sector.
The above mentioned factors are being reviewed and researched by Nizona Marine Products thoroughly to scale up the business by adding up the potential raw material resources like frozen fish skin and bones of marine and inland fish and leftovers of other crustaceans.
The journey of any product to come into being is always from raw material to the finished product. Nizona has done it differently by taking a reverse path, but has successfully reached both the ends of the spectrum!
